With the conclusion of the AAA Pilot Project and the ratification vote on January 30, 2010, the Ottawa Valley Titans MHA going forward will be designated AAA teams only.

Ø  Minor Bantam “AAA”

Ø  Major Bantam “AAA”

Ø  Minor Midget “AAA”

Ø  Major Midget “AAA”

 

As in the other 9 Districts in the Ottawa Minor Hockey Association branch, District 4’s AA/A Association the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven MHA will host in 2010-2011 the following additional levels:

Ø  Major Atom “AA”

Ø  Minor Peewee “AA”

Ø  Major Peewee “AA”


*Until such time where District 5 can host the Major Atom and Minor Peewee levels with  their Upper Valley Aces MHA, they will be allowed to participate within these teams with OVSS, this is going to be reviewed by ODMHA Minor Council on a yearly basis so as to encourage District 5 to be self-supporting.

Harassment Discipline Print

In addition to the discipline specified by the ODMHA for the “Harassment of Official” penalty (GM31 – Game Misconduct; M20 – Misconduct) in the Code of Discipline, District 4 will be applying the following discipline when the referee reports in the Game Incident Report (GIR) that there was obscene, profane or abusive language or gestures to any person.

Reported to Association President to review the incident and provide a verbal warning to team member.

Reported to Association President to review the incident and provide team member with a written warning.

Additional ONE game suspension and a formal District Discipline and Appeal hearing.

Everyone is reminded that hockey, as a contact sport requires hygiene be enforced at all times.

Some items to be aware of include:

  1. Gloves are to remain on during post game hand shakes;

  2. Water bottles and towels are not to be shared under any circumstances; and
